Rope Artist, Teacher & Co-Founder of Shibari Montenegro

Known on the rope scene as “Bridge Burner,” Rasha’s relationship with rope began many years ago, during his childhood as a Boy Scout. What started as a simple fascination with knots and rope gradually developed into a lifelong exploration of connection, movement, presence, and the human body.

With more than 25 years of experience with rope, Rasha has developed a distinctive approach to Shibari that goes beyond technique. For him, rope is not simply something to be tied — it is a way of creating a deeper conversation between body, breath, sensation, movement, and awareness.

As a co-founder of Shibari Montenegro, Rasha is part of a growing community that approaches Shibari as a somatic and artistic practice. Together, the vision is to create a space where people can slow down, become more present in their bodies, explore trust and communication, and discover new ways of expressing themselves through rope.

Rasha’s teaching is grounded in safety, consent, communication, mindfulness, and body awareness. His workshops invite participants to approach rope with curiosity rather than performance — learning to listen to their own bodies, notice subtle sensations, understand boundaries, and develop a more conscious connection with their partner.

His style is also deeply recognizable. Through intricate patterns, thoughtful structure, movement, and flow, Rasha creates rope work that feels both intentional and alive. Each tying becomes an opportunity to explore balance, tension, stillness, movement, and connection.

For Rasha, Shibari is not about achieving a perfect shape or mastering a particular technique. It is about the experience created between the people in the ropes — the quality of attention, the ability to listen, the trust that develops, and the awareness that emerges through the process.

At Shibari Montenegro, he welcomes both newcomers and experienced practitioners who are curious about exploring rope from a more embodied perspective.

Come as you are. Slow down. Breathe. Feel. Connect.

Through rope, Rasha invites you to discover not only the beauty of Shibari, but also the possibilities of deeper presence, self-awareness, communication, and human connection.
